Bio
RN Design was founded in 1986 by Roddy Novotny in Los Angeles, California.
Born in Czechoslvakia he was trained as a tailor and worked for one of the
largest fashion house companies in Europe. Moving to the United States he
continued his career in fashion creating custom pieces for celebrities. He
made his mark working with leather goods and soon there was a high demand
for his crafted belts and handbags. Roddy believes that the skilled
handmaking of these pieces one by one at his shop in the USA insures the
best quality possible. The business is managed by his wife Soo who works
with Roddy side by side. They are constantly and currently producing new
designs for some of the most exclusive shops internationally. In 2006
their old world style of craftsmanship combined with their new tech
website shopping center brings their talents to more people. Everyone now
has an opportunity to own an RN Design original...which means the Novotnys
are probably right at this moment burning the midnight oil in their
